COMING SOON!!!
BRAINERD LAKES AREA
24/7 Public Microchip Scanning Station

A chance to give every lost pet in our community a safe return home with our new
24/7 Check the Chip Station located at Northern Lakes Rescue.

Losing a pet is heartbreaking. Every year, millions of beloved animals go missing, leaving families in distress. But there's a powerful solution: microchipping. Registered microchips dramatically increase the chances of a lost pet finding its way back home.

The Proof is in the Numbers:

  • Without a microchip, only 22% of lost dogs are reunited.

  • With a registered microchip, that jumps to 52%!

  • For cats, the difference is even greater: 38% reunion rate with a microchip vs. just 2% without.

Introducing the Check the Chip Station: 24/7 Pet Recovery at Northern Lakes Rescue

While any vet, shelter, or rescue can scan for a microchip during business hours, what happens after closing? Northern Lakes Rescue in Brainerd, MN is bridging that gap with our new publicly accessible Check the Chip Station located at our facility. Now, anyone who finds a lost pet can quickly and easily check for a microchip any time, day or night, significantly improving their chances of a swift reunion with their family.

More Than Just a Scanner

Our commitment goes beyond just providing a scanner at our Brainerd location. Through our "Home Safe, Home Soon" campaign, we aim to:

  • Offer free microchip clinics to ensure every pet in the Brainerd Lakes Area has this vital identification.

  • Empower our community to be active participants in pet recovery.
