Hi! My Name Is Carmen

We're happy to tell you that Carmen has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Hi, my name is Carmen! I am a super good girl or so my foster mom says. I weigh 34lbs and am around a year old
I love to learn new things and I already know how to sit, lay down, and shake a paw!
I love long walks and would do best with a fenced in yard although if my family is willing to give me lots of exercise a fence isn't necessary.
I lived on the streets so other dogs make me nervous and anxious. I do ok as long as introductions are slow.
My foster mom has cats and I want to play with them so bad I don't understand why they don't want to play with me I'm not THAT much bigger. But my foster mom calls my name and since I'd rather be with humans than any other thing I come right away to see what she needs.
I am still very much a puppy and love to play.
Crates scare me and causes me a lot of anxiety but my foster mom is working on showing me that the crate is my safe space. I get my meals in my crate and lots of treats randomly just appear in there when I walk past it and sniff around. Oh did I mention I sound like a little piggy when I nose around? My foster mom thinks its the cutest thing ever!
I would love to get to know you, and maybe you could be my fuuurever family.  We could enjoy lots of treats, long walks, and infinite loves.
Carmen's adoption fee is $350 which covers her spay, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care she may have needed while in the rescue’s care.  We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed, is NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website
