Hi everyone, thanks for checking out my profile.
I’ve been in rescuing and living at my foster home since about the middle of February.
My old owner used to call me King but my foster dad calls me Louie, so I am King Louie.
I have lots of friends at my foster home, 3 dogs and 5 cats and there are chickens in the yard.
I like to look at the chickens but with all the snow haven’t really met them yet.
The cats are so fun to watch and I really like it when they come and rub on me. There is one cat that is kind of mean and likes to make sure I know she is in charge. When she swats at me I barely even react and just walk away to find my foster dad and snuggle.
The dogs here are lots of fun. There are two bigger dogs like me and a little dog. I can play gentle with all of them.
Sometimes when I get really excited I’m not fully aware of my side and accidentally step on the little one, but we play really well together.
I love snuggling with all the dogs and some of them even smother me in kisses and lick me.
I am really good in my kennel and if you say “kennel” and toss a treat in I walk right in. Sometimes I’ll cry a little bit when I first go in, but I spend my day in the kennel when my foster dad is at work and I do a great job.
I love to look out the window of the house and see what is going on and will whine when I see someone outside with a dog because I think it is really important that everyone else knows but I just like to watch. My foster dad usually says “Louie come” and I leave the window and go to him. We are also working on “quiet” so that I can keep watching them without whining.
Sometimes out in the yard if I see the neighbors I bark, but my tail is always wagging, I’m just loudly saying hi to everyone. I really am a very sweet boy.
King Louie's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care.
We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed, are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.northernlakesrescue.org
