Liberty is a sweet girl who gave birth to a litter of eight puppies in July on the streets in Texas. In the last six weeks she has come so far and appears to have had a family at one time. She is estimated to be 5-6 years old and is ready to find her family and live her best life in Minnesota. She is listed as a lab mix and is cream/yellow in color. She has been great around other dogs of all sizes. She very much enjoys going on walks or hikes with her people. She sniffs and explores as she goes and is doing quite well on a leash. She’s a big fan of dog toys, especially ones with stuffing or that make crinkly sounds. She’s house trained and well mannered. She has been a good mama to her babies and likes to keep an eye on them from a distance as they’re getting bigger. She’s crate trained, however would much prefer following her humans around or curling up next to them when given the opportunity. She was extremely underweight when brought into rescue however has been steadily putting on weight since getting consistent meals and is approximately 50lbs and will hopefully gain another 5-10lbs as her body adjusts. She is going to make someone a great friend to live out her second act of life. The best is yet to come!
