Hi there! My new human friends call me Perry, a name that I'm really starting to like.
I'm a really sweet guy with a lot of love to give and a big heart that's ready to be loved back. Playing with my toys is one of my favorite things, especially toys meant for super chewers like me and those with a good squeaker in them so I can squeak them and toss them around the room. Walks are one of my favorite things because there is so much to see, smell, and explore in the world and my foster parents even say that I am really good at walking with them on a leash. Between walks and my playtime, I love to lounge and rest especially on comfy blankets or pillows that are just for me. I also love when my humans give me pets and rub my belly-- I now try to get in as many belly rubs as I can each day.
My biggest wish is to find my human that loves me and that I can live with forever. My forever person is someone who is patient and understanding, very active so we can go on lots of adventures together, a good teacher who can help me learn all the things about living with a human, good at belly rubs, and someone who loves morning and goodnight snuggles as much as I do.
Here's a note from my foster parents:
Perry is an absolute sweetheart! As he comes out his shell more, we are seeing a pup who is also goofy, funny, curious, and just wants to hang out with the people that love him.
We've been training him at home and he is doing pretty well with kennel training and quickly picking up some basic commands. He is also potty trained.
Like many Huskies and Husky mixes, he has a strong prey drive that comes out around cats, squirrels, rabbits, and other small animals. He is very curious about our resident cat, so we've kept them separated except for a few safe introductions from a distance. He has made introductions with a few neighborhood cats while he was on his leash and we were out on a walk, which have improved each time though he remains extremely curious about them. With what we've observed, we do not recommend that he lives in a home with a cat or other small animals. He and our resident Black Lab do get along pretty well, especially when outside together. But we have noticed that Perry can be a bit protective of his resources and space and that he thrives with one-on-one attention and interaction with a human.

Perry's adoption fee is $375 which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care.

We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed, are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website
