This beautiful young man is Walter. Walter had a rough start in life, NLR found him as a stray and suspected breeder mill dump.
He has come a LONG way in his time in rescue and is finally ready to finish out his journey with his new forever family.
Walty boy is a sweet, shy and extremely smart sheepadoodle (best guess) is around 2-3 years old, and around 65-70 pounds.
Smart as he is, he has had to over come a lot of fears to get where he is, and will need a fenced in yard as well as a family with patience as he can take some time to get to know a hooman's intent. Loud noises and quick movements startle and scare Walter (such as clapping hands or yelling) so a quiet household with older laid back teens or no kids would be most ideal. Walter LOVES other dogs and often looks to them to make sure he is doing the right thing. He learned to sit by watching what the other dogs in the home were doing. A friendly, playful dog in the home will also be required as that is something Walter thrives with.
He has a drive to learn new things and is so very special. He bonds hard to his handler and you can see the love in his eyes for them. He learned sit super quick. He loves to cuddle once he figures out what you are trying to do with him. He deserves so much more than what life has given him. He has SO much love to give and will make a family so happy. He is crate trained, but has recently determined he wants to sleep near the human of the house.
Walter will require regular grooming/hair cuts as per his doodle hair or he will mat.

Walter's adoption fee is $375 which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care.
